Error Messages and Conditions
Error Message: "Not Enough Memory to Load All Modules"
When the ModCal II system powers up, it allocates room in its memory for the module present in the system. Should there not be enough memory for the module allocations due to stored Formats and Log Data, the "Not Enough Memory.." message is displayed and the module is deactivated. To remove this message and obtain proper operation, some log data or Formats will need to be removed from the system. This can be done through the procedures in 4.2.1 and 4.2.2.
All the memory can be cleared by powering the unit off and holding down the keys F3, F4 and F5 simultaneously while powering up the ModCal II. Hold the keys down until the "Run" screen is present. Note that all the Tags and Format information is lost when the memory is cleared with this method.
Error Message: "LQ Overflow"
This message sometimes appears when the battery is low. Recharge battery per section1.8.3.
Error Condition: Lose all data or current time and date when ModCal II is turned off.
An internal lithium battery maintains the data in memory when the ModCal II is powered off. Should the battery be depleted (usually after 3 years) the memory will be lost when the system is off. The lithium battery condition can be checked through the Main Module display. See section 4.2.5.C.
Error Condition: ModCal II does not communicate with PC.

Battery not fully charged. See section 1.8.3
Defective Ni-Cad Battery.
Error Condition: ModCal II only functions when powered by charger.
Circuit breaker tripped. Some ModCal II units were equipped with a circuit breaker in series with the battery. When the circuit breaker tripped, the battery was removed from the circuit but the unit would still function with the charger. To reset the breaker, remove module 1 and reset the breaker by pressing on the button on the top of the breaker. After the breaker is reset, replace module 1 and resume operation.
Error Condition: Moduel 622 - reading "jumps" to 1.0 when applied pressure is 0.5 psia.
This is a software error with the "Autozero" feature when it relates to the model 622. Turn the Autozero feature off and do not use it for the model 622. Refer to section 4.2.9.A page 4-35 of the manual.
