Measure and Control Level in a Holding Pond

The Problem

The water level in holding ponds or tanks needs to be measured and controlled consistently. These tanks and holding ponds can reach runoff levels, or overflow, due to extreme weather events that are now happening more frequently.

The Solution

The AMETEK LevelMate III Level System includes a submersible level sensor, the Model 575 transducer, and a DDMC Digital Meter/Controller with a local display and a 4-20 mA analog output single. The signal is used to run High-Low set points and may be programmed for pump control. The LevelMate III System is in a NEMA 4X enclosure that protects the DMC Meter/Controller. When the high set-point is tripped, the relay in the DDMC will send a signal to either close a valve or turn a pump off.
