Water Treatment at Processing Plants

Water Treatment at a Processing Plant

Many companies in process industries create various hazardous pollutants as by-products of their process, like contaminated water or solid waste. Government regulations prohibit companies from soiling the environment with these wastes. Unless the wastes are disposed of properly, there is a high risk of polluting the surrounding groundwater.

Chemical companies, in particular, recover their process water and treat it at on-site water treatment facilities. The AMETEK LevelMate III Level System provides a simple and inexpensive solution for monitoring and controlling the water tank level during treatment.

The LevelMate III is also used to test wells specially drilled around the plant to monitor and control groundwater pollution, aquifer level, and feel water supply. This final part of the total water treatment system verifies that none of the waste has, in any way, leached into surrounding groundwater.
